“ It's always exciting when a fresh new restaurant comes into town, it's then even more exciting when you find out it's a Japanese steakhouse with hibachi tables since decent ones are far and few between. I gave Daruma a try recently and loved every second of it. The server was friendly and pretty attentive, the hibachi Chef was outstanding and the food and atmosphere was spot on! I'm pretty excited to have another great hibachi option in town and can't wait to go back and possibly try some of the other menu options next time. ”

Great selection of appetizers, cocktails and local craft beer. The restaurant itself was impeccably clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The service was top-notch, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. One of my friends needed a coffee for the long drive home and even though it was not on the menu they went out of their way and made one for her . With such awesome food and service and a clean environment, I will definitely be returning for more delicious sushi or hibachi . Highly recommended! ”

“ We had one of the most impressive hibachi shows in a while. The young chef was very skilled and funny. The food came out great and we had an awesome experience. Nice to have the hibachi here in st johns so close. There was no wait and we sat right in even though it was a weekeday evening. The prices were very reasonable compared to others. The only thing we were not a fan of was the yumyum sauce. It didn't taste like we are used to. Maybe it was just the prepared batch that day. We will definitely be back soon and recommend it to friends and others. ”

With their promptness in service and excellent customer service skills, they beat any other Japanese steak house in Jacksonville/St. Augustine.
